Real Madrid vs. Barcelona barely needs any more added spice but it's
getting it this Saturday with Luis Suarez set for his debut. El Clasico
promises to be as enthralling as ever -- here's ESPN FC's Rob Train
(Real Madrid) and Dermot Ledwith (Barcelona) previewing the action.
Only one place to begin -- Luis Suarez. Will he start? It's written in the script for him to score, surely?
Rob Train:
It's not just chins being stroked in Catalonia over how exactly Suarez
will operate alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar in potentially one of the
finest forward lines of all time. Still, I'd be very surprised if he
starts at the Bernabeu. Three friendly games in four months -- for Barça
B and Uruguay -- is hardly ideal preparation for a game of this
magnitude and there seems little to be gained by throwing the striker in
at the deep end on Saturday. Barça have yet to concede in the league
and are not short of attacking threat; Pedro played a wonderful first
half against Ajax and should get the nod. Munir El Haddadi is another
option after his spectacular season to date. Suarez can expect 20-30
minutes if the game is finely balanced and Luis Enrique needs someone to
knock Real's defence off theirs.
